Maiza Franca is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at CARGOWARD®, responsible for end-to-end HR governance across operational teams working in complex, safety-critical port environments. Trained as a Psychologistand Neuropsychologist, Maiza brings a rare combination of clinical depth and corporate HR leadership—strengthening performance, leadership development, and workforce resilience in high-pressure maritime operations.

With a background in mental health and psychosocial care, including professional experience in psychiatric hospital settings, Maiza has a practical understanding of human behavior, cognitive performance, stress management, and team dynamics. This expertise supports operational realities where fatigue, communication breakdowns, and team stress can affect safety outcomes—and where leadership requires clarity, emotional intelligence, and disciplined decision-making.

At CARGOWARD®, Maiza leads the full HR agenda: recruitment and onboarding, competency frameworks, training programs, performance management, leadership development, and workplace conduct standards. She also drives structured initiatives focused on psychological safety, conflict prevention, and consistent communication across multidisciplinary teams—supporting reliable execution under time constraints and operational complexity.
